We love Ki-O-Rahi !

Today room 6 maths class, had an absolute blast playing Ki-o-Rahi with the kiwisport coaches. We have missed out on Kiwisport due to our Fiafia practise so we were super excited to get out on the field in the warm weather today. What is Ki-O-Rahi you may ask? Ki-o-Rahi is a traditional pre-European Māori ball game. It is a contact sport, played on a circle shaped field, involving imaginative handling and swift inter passing of a ki, (ball). Before the arrival of Europeans, Ki-o-Rahi was played by Māori in Aotearoa. Many different tribes would play different versions of the game.

Just Clean It!

This term at Point England School, our inquiry focus is all around the word respect. What this means and how we can show it and school and at home. A big part of respect is looking after our things and environment. We have been doing a school wide rubbish pick up. We do this in teams. Check out the awesome rubbish pick up we did the other day.
